System certificate
The WIND certification GmbH
is a an accredited certification body according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17065 for the certification of products, processes and services in the field of grid integration of generation plants, generation units and their components.
Regardless of the technology (wind, photovoltaic, storage, CHP and hydropower), system certificates must be submitted to the grid operator for the grid connection of generating plants. The requirement results from the Electrotechnical Property Verification Ordinance – NELEV, which regulates the certification of generation plants in the medium, high and very high voltage grid in Germany. System certificates are based on type certificates, such as unit certificates and component certificates.
